A man and a woman have been arrested after a drugs seizure in Athlone.
Gardai searched two houses in Goldsmith View in the town this morning.
They recovered a quantity of what's believed to be cannabis herb and cannabis resin, along with drug paraphernalia and two firearms.
The drugs are worth an estimated 10 thousand euro, pending analysis.
The 24 year old man and 18 year old woman were detained and taken to Athlone Garda station.
