Two elderly sisters are recovering in hospital after suffering suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at their Cork home.
Gardai who rescued the women also needed medical attention after inhaling fumes at the building on Blarney street.
People are being reminded to check on elderly neighbours over the winter - and to install a carbon monoxide alarm.
