Jonathan Corrie's funeral has taken place in a Dublin Crematorium

Gardaí in Cork are investigating the deaths of two men who were users of homeless services in Cork city over the last week.

One man was found dead in a fast food outlet toilet last Saturday and the other died in hospital yesterday having collapsed on the street.

The fatalities are believed to have resulted from drug overdoses.

They follow the death of Jonathan Corrie who passed away in a doorway near the Dáil on Monday night.

The funeral of Mr Corrie has taken place at a Dublin crematorium today.

Since his death a national debate on homelessness has taken place with 200 emergency beds being promised before Christmas.

Some of the new beds are due to be opened by the Peter McVerry Trust and Focus Ireland next Monday.

Tonight, the McVerry Trust is hosting a fundraising concert at St Patrick's Cathedral.
