Two men have appeared in court in Dublin, charged over the seizure of cocaine and heroin worth an estimated 2.8 million euro in Tallaght this week.

41 year old Joseph Hickey of Ulster Street in Phibsboro and 34 year old Pat Burnell of Kiltalown Road in Tallaght appeared have been charged with four offences under the Drug Trafficking Act.

Mr HickeyÂ’s been remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court next Wednesday.

Mr Burnell was remanded in custody with consent to bail, subject to strict conditions.
