Two men have appeared in court in Co Meath charged in connection with the death of a 27 year old in Navan last week.

Christopher Nevin of St Francis Park in the town died after an assault on the 19th of November.

24 year old Wayne Cluskey and 23 year old Josh Turner with addresses at Mooretown, Ratoath in Co Meath appeared before Navan District Court earlier.

They've both been charged with allegedly intentionally or recklessly causing serious harm to the victim contrary to section 4 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act.

They've been remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on Tuesday the 1st Decembe.
