Mothercare Ireland says over 250 jobs have been secured with the company's successful exit from examinership.
The company will continue to trade at 15 stores across Ireland however, three stores - in Blackrock and Jervis Street in Dublin and in Cruises Street in Limerick - will cease trading early next year.
The company sought the appointment of an examiner in July of this year in a bid to restructure its business and secure its long term future.
Mothercare is currently in consultation with around 25 staff members affected by the store closures.
The Store Operations Director with Mothercare Ireland, Jonathan Ward, says they hope to relocate as many staff as possible.
