A woman has been charged with manslaughter in relation to the death of a woman following a house fire in Drogheda, county Louth last year.
This morning Nicola Kavanagh (27) from Rathmullen Park, Drogheda appeared before Drogheda district court.
She is charged with the alleged unlawful killing of 70 year old Eva Berrill at the Burns Unit, St James Hospital on the 20th November last year.
There was no application for bail and she was remanded in custody to appear again before Drogheda district court next Friday.
The accused also faces a charge of alleged arson at 94 Chord Road, Drogheda belonging to Oliver and Eva Berrill.
That offence is alleged to have occurred on the 16th August 2014.
