The dectector dog, Frankie, sniffed out the cigarettes during the routine searching of two passengers who arrived on a flight from Frankfurt yesterday.
The cigarettes, branded "Kent", are worth over 15 thousand euro and represent a nine thousand euro loss to the Exchequer.
