Three men remain in Garda custody in Cork after being arrested following the seizure of a quantity of cocaine.

800 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of 56 thousand euro was seized in Cobh yesterday - the arrests were part of a joint intelligence-led operation between Revenue and Gardai.

The drugs are said to have originated in Johannesburg.

The three men aged between 30 and 35 are being detained at Cobh Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.
