A woman and two Gardai have been injured in a ramming incident in Co Meath.

Four men in a silver Volkswagon Golf rammed a woman's car and then a Garda car in the forecourt of a service station in Kiltale at 11.30 this morning.

Two of them then fled the scene on foot and one 18 year old man was arrested.

He's being questioned at Trim Garda Station.

The woman who was injured and the Gardai were taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown for treatment.

The silver golf was found a short time later in a field around a mile from Mullagh Cross on the Summerhill to Dunboyne Road.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
