At least three people have been killed after a suicide car bomber rammed the gates of a restaurant near a beach in Somalia's capital Mogadishu.

The explosives-laden car rammed a restaurant at the popular Lido Beach.

Police then say gunmen fought their way into the building, opening fire on customers.

It's feared some hostages may have been taken.

No group has claimed the attack.
