People in Ireland seem reluctant to get out of the car and catch a bus, train or even jump on a bike.
A report from the Department of Transport shows 3 out of 4 journeys made across the country in 2013 was by car.
That's a slight increase on the figure for 2009.
The report also highlights a drop of more than 40 per cent in the number of pupils taking their bikes to secondary schools.
The Transport Minister says private car use, especially for short journeys of 2 kilometres or less is 'concerning'.
