US biotechnology company Regeneron Pharmaceuticals is creating 300 new jobs in Limerick.
It comes as part of a $100 million expansion plan of the company's campus in Raheen, which was opened back in 2014.
Recruitment for some of the new roles - which are across areas such as commercial manufacturing, process sciences and quality assurance/control/validation - is ongoing.
The company says it expects to employ over 800 people in Ireland by the end of next year.
Regeneron's Dan Van Plew said they had a 'gut feeling' Limerick would be a good place for the company - and he says they haven't regretted their decision.
He observed: "We are proud of what has happened here and the vast majority of this work has been completed by people who come from Munster. These folks built, validated and began production in a way I’d put up against any other team on the planet."
He added the company now 'feels at home here'.
