300 new jobs have been announced for Tipperary.

The global payment technology solutions company First Data, is set to establish an Research and Development centre in Nenagh.

The Environment Minister and TD for the area Alan Kelly, says this announcement is significant for the town.

The IDA says operations are due to begin early next year.
