New proposals could see a 30 kilometre per hour speed limit expanded across the capital.
The suggestion by Dublin City Council follows an 18 month review of traffic conditions and accident data.
The lower limit could come into force at the end of the year.
But there's already been some oppostion to the move which has been called 'anti-car'.
