Police in Japan say more than 30 hikers are believed to have died after being found on the peak of a volcano that's erupted.
According to national media reports - the group suffered a cardiac arrest and weren't showing any vital signs of life.
Mount Ontake - which is located 2-hundred kilometres west of Tokyo - began billowing smoke and ash yesterday lunchtime trapping around 250 hikers.
