A 34 year old man has been charged in connection with terrorist offences in County Down.

Detectives from Serious Crime Branch of the PSNI charged him with belonging to or professing to belong to a proscribed organisation, conspiracy to possess explosives with intent to endanger life, preparation of terrorist acts and receiving training or instruction in the making or use of weapons for terrorism.

An investigation at a house in the Ardcarn Park area of Newry on the 10th November 2014 led to the arrest of 12 men at the time.

The 34 year old man was arrested in the Belfast area last Friday and is expected to appear before Newry Magistrates Court tomorrow.
