An investigation is underway after an animal rescue operation uncovered 340 dogs and 11 horses from a Puppy Farm in Myshall in Co. Carlow.
ISPCA Officers, Gardaí and officials from the Department of Agriculture were involved in the operation which took place over a 9 day period.
The dogs were mostly adult females ranging in breeds and many were suffering from chronic skin, eye and teeth problems and a number of their paws were also badly infected from being soaked in urine.
