Applegreen is to create 360 new full time jobs through the development of six service stations over the next two years.

It comes as the first of the new motorway facilities is officially opened on the M11 in Wicklow today -employing 60 staff.

The additional sites will be located in Birdhill, Co. Tipperary, Swords, Co. Dublin and Lemybrien in Co. Waterford, which is currently under construction.

It's part of a 30 million euro investment by the forecourt retailer.

Meanwhile, 

80 new jobs are set to come on stream in Waterford as Irish e-cigarette company 'Healthier smoker' is to launch its new facility.

The new plant will see the immediate creation of 80 new jobs in manufacturing, retail and distribution.

And Carphone Warehouse is hiring 50 new staff as it launches its own mobile network.
