A flat complex in north inner city Dublin is to be redeveloped to house 400 homeless families.
Dublin City Council will present its plans for O'Devaney Gardens to councillors at its next meeting on Monday.
Priority will be given to people who are currently being housed in hotel accommodation.
Janice Boylan is a Sinn Fein councillor for the area and grew up in O'Devaney Gardens.
