400 families homed in O'Devaney Gardens

A flat complex in north inner city Dublin is to be redeveloped to house 400 homeless families.

Dublin City Council will present its plans for O'Devaney Gardens to councillors at its next meeting on Monday.

Priority will be given to people who are currently being housed in hotel accommodation.

Janice Boylan is a Sinn Fein councillor for the area and grew up in O'Devaney Gardens.

She says there are some concerns about how this scheme may affect the longterm plans for the redevlopment of O'Devaney Gardens:
