A 49-year-old motorcyclist has been killed in a crash in County Wicklow.

He was involved in a collision with a car on the N81 near Blessington just after half past 8 last night.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Naas Hospital where a postmortem is due to be carried out.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

The road remains closed and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
