Gardai have arrested 5 people in West Dublin in connection with the Jobstown protest last November in which the Tainiste was trapped in her car for more than 2 hours.
2 juveniles and 3 adults were arrested in the early hours of this morning.
The 5 men are being held at stations in Crumlin, Rathfarnham and Tallaght on the South side of the city under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
It brings to 17 the number of arrests this week in connection with the Jobstown protest.
So far all those questioned have been released without charge. Socialist Party TD Paul Murphy who was one of those arrested has accused the Gardai of political policing in their investigation.
He was questioned for a number of hours in relation to the false imprisonment of the Tainiste Joan Burton who was trapped in her car for a number of hours due to anti water charge protests
