5 people have been convicted of manslaughter over the Costa Concordia disaster in which 32 people died.

The five are employees of the Costa group which owned the cruise liner.

Their plea bargains are being handled seperately from the trial of the ship's captain Francesco Schettino who is charged with manslaughter for causing the shipwreck - and abandoning the liner with hundreds of passengers still on board.
