Gardai have seized 54 puppies worth 34,000 euro from a van en route to the UK.

The pups were found during the search of a van by Gardai and Customs Officers.arc

The breds found include Jack Russels, Pugs, Shih Tzu, Beagles, Cocker Spaniels and Bichons Frise. The were all being held in a cage without any valid documentation.

They have been handed over to the DSPCA and wil be put up for adoption.
