Nearly 70 per cent of people want a referendum on abortion to liberalise Ireland's laws in the area.
According to an Ipsos/MRBI survey in today's Irish Times, 68 per cent are in favour of a vote on whether abortion should be allowed in cases of rape or when a foetus would not be born alive.
23 per cent were against, and 9 per cent had no opinion.
