Eight people have been arrested in connection with a number of burglaries in Dublin's Dun Laoghaire area.

As part of "Operation Acer", investigating officers have recovered jewellery, clothing, electronics and a car.

Gardaí searched houses in Tallaght and Wicklow and arrrested seven men between the ages of 19 and 23; as well as a 21-year-old woman.

Three of those arrested will appear in court today - while the other five are being held at Dun Laoghaire, Dundrum and Blackrock Garda Stations.
