Around 8,000 people - many refugees from Syria and Iraq - have arrived in Germany following gruelling journeys by foot, bus and train.
Many had been stuck in Hungary, until officials there allowed people to leave the country and travel across the border into Austria.

Meanwhile, The LÉ Niamh is expected to arrive in Sicily this morning after it rescued more than 300 refugees in the Mediterranean yesterday.
329 people were picked up - including one child - from three boats north of Tripoli.
The crew has now rescued a total of 3,43 migrants since commencing its mission in the Mediterranean.
