Nine protesters have been arrested after blocking the runway at London's City Airport.

Police say nine people have been arrrested on suspicion of aggeavated trespass, being unlawfully airside and breaking London City Airport byelaws

A number of flights to and from Ireland are affected - and passengers are being advised to contact their airline.
CityJet - whose flights are affected - is operating a limited number of services from Dublin and Amsterdam to London Southend Airport, with complimentary rail connection to London to facilitate passengers who were disrupted.
