90 percent of homes are being sold for different amounts than the original asking price.

According to a price comparison by the Irish Independent, over half were sold for over the asking price, while 40 percent went for less.

Selling prices from the Property Price Register were compared with asking prices on daft.ie and found that just over 7 percent of properties went for the asking price.

Asking prices were the least accurate in Dublin, where, out of 28 properties, just two were sold for the asking price.
