99 new Gardai are due to graduate this afternoon, for the first time since 2009.
81 men and 18 women have completed the first phase of their training over 32 weeks, and will attend a passing out ceremony in Templemore.
The new gardai will continue the next phase of their training at 20 garda stations around Ireland.
Earlier this month the Justice Minister announced that 250 new gardai would be recruited before the end of the year.
Frances Fitzgerald will attend the ceremony this afternoon, along with Garda Commissioner Noirin O'Sullivan.
