A newly-wed couple from Holywood in County Down have been found dead on a beach in South Africa.

It's believed 28-year-old John Rodgers and his 26-year-old wife wife Lynette drowned yesterday after getting into trouble swimming in rough seas at Plettenberg Bay.

The couple got married a week ago, and set off on their honeymoon on Monday.

The British Foreign Office and PSNI are providing consular assitance to their families.
