A four year old boy's receiving treatment at Cork University Hospital tonight after being knocked down by a car this afternoon.
The incident occurred in the John's Well estate in the Fairhill area of Cork.
The child is understood to be in a stable condition in hospital this evening.
Garda in Gurranabraher are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses.
