A member of the Gardai is in a serious condition after being struck by a stolen car in Dublin last night.
The incident happened in Balbriggan in north Co. Dublin at around 11pm.
The male officer was struck by the vehicle while attempting to get it to stop.
He was rushed to Beaumont Hospital, where his injuries have been described as serious.
A man in his mid-20s has been arrested.
