A Lithuanian man has appeared in court in Limerick charged in connection with a series of burglaries in Cork, Limerick and Tipperary.
31-year old Aurimas Petraska, with an address at Church Street, Rathkeale in Limerick, was charged with stealing clothes, cosmetics and perfume, worth over 160-thousand euro.
He was arrested near Shangolden in Limerick last Wednesday, during which another man was shot by a garda and is being treated in hospital for serious injuries
The circumstances of the events are being investigated by GSOC.
Mr Petraska was remanded in custody to appear before Newcastle West District Court next week.
