The Garda Ombudsman is investigating the death of a man in his 20s while in custody in Dublin this afternoon.

The incident happened in Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport and was referred to GSOC by the Garda Síochána at approximately 2:30pm.

Investigators are at the scene and an independent investigation will be carried out to determine the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
