A man has died following a shooting incident at a service station in Castlebar, Co Mayo.
A 26 year old man was shot a number of times on the Moneen Road at approximately 3.30pm this afternoon.
He was taken to Mayo General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8 o'clock.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who noticed a dark coloured estate in the area at the time to contact them.
