Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal traffic collision on the N11 Motorway in Wexford in the early hours of this morning.

At 4:35am a man in his 20s was fatally injured when his car collided with a van at Garrycleary, Crossabeg.

He was pronounced dead the scene.

His body has been removed to Wexford General Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The van driver, a man in his 40s, was also taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The N11 is currently closed to traffic in both directions and anyone with information is asked to contact Enniscorthy Garda Station.
