A man has died after he crashed into a fence in Glencullen in Co. Dublin this evening.

The 57 year old man was the sole occupant of the car when he collided with the fence at around 7:45pm on the Red House Road.

He was taken to St Vincent's Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The road is currently closed in order to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
