A man in his early 70s has lost his life in a multi-vehicle collision in County Cork this afternoon.
The collision happened just after 12:30pm on the N20 Cork to Limerick Road at the Killarney Roundabout in Mallow when the truck the man was driving in was involved in a collision with four other cars.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Cork University Hospital.
Four men and three women aged in their teens to their 60s were also taken to Cork University Hospital where their injuries are described as non-life threatening.
The N20 remains closed at Ballydahin and there are long delays in the area.
