A woman who was raped and abused by her father for ten years says a monster has been locked up.
Fiona Doyle spoke after her father'Â’s sentence was tripled on appeal.
Patrick O'Brien of Mackintosh Park, Pottery Road in Dun Laoghaire in Dublin will now serve nine years in prison after pleading guilty to the abuse of his daughter between 1973 and 1982.
The previous decision to grant Mr. OÂ’Brien bail received widespread criticism.
A film is to be made about Fiona Doyle'Â’s experience, which she hopes will help other survivors of abuse.
And she told reporters in Dublin that she can hold her head up high;
