A powerful typhoon's hit the eastern Philippines - bringing down trees and power cables.

But the centre of the storm's still several hours away from land

Jenny MacCann from charity World Vision is in the city of Tacloban - one of the areas devastated by Typhoon Haiyan last November, which killed more than 6-thousand people.

She says they're bracing themselves for a repeat.
