A four hour stand-off between a woman and the An Armed Response Unit in a shop in Tralee has come to an end.

Two garda negotiators had been in discussions with the woman who entered a Halal meat shop on Castle Street brandishing a knife at around 4 O'Clock.

The woman, who is in her 30s and from Cork, has now been removed from the scene and no injuries have been reported.
