A woman believed to be in her late 50's has been killed in three car pile up in Newcastle West County Limerick.
The crash happened on the N21 on the Rathkeale side of the town around 6:30pm.
A number of other people were taken to University Hospital Limerick following the crash.
The road has been closed and garda diversions are in place.
It brings to two the number of people that have been killed on the roads this weekend.
