The government is to miss its own deadline for launching an Action Plan for Housing.
The plan was due to be published within 100 days - but will be delayed, because the deadline falls during the August break.
Simon Coveney will publish the plan in early September instead, as the minister believes it will gain more political initiative if published at the start of the term.
Housing minister Simon Coveney has meanwhile said he 'won't play party politics' when it comes to solving the crisis.
