The Sinn Fein President believes the PSNI contravened his rights during his arrest and detention last week, and he has made a formal complaint about it.
Gerry Adams was questioned for four days last week over the murder of Jean McConville in 1972, and was released without charge on Sunday evening.
He has continually denied allegations that he ordered the killing of the west Belfast mother of 10.
Speaking in Dublin today, he said he believes his rights were contravened – possibly twice – during his detention.
