Rank and File Gardaí say only a 'substantial' pay rise will make them call off tomorrow's strike.
Their reps have been at the Labour Court overnight trying to reach a last minute deal - but there's little progress so far.
The GRA has agreed to at least allow members to vote on any recommendations the court may make.
However a 3 percent pay hike has already been rejected.
Industry Correspondent with the Irish Times, Martin Wall, has been following the dispute:
Meanwhile, The group representing middle-ranking officers is due at the Labour Court today. Over 2-thousand of its members are also threatening to walk off the job tomorrow.
But last night the AGSI appeared to soften its approach by praising the Taoiseach. It said Enda Kenny's call for Gardaí to have access to the WRC and the Labour Court was a 'victory' for them.
