Air and sea searches are to resume this morning in County Clare for two Japanese tourists.

The alarm was raised after their rented car was parked in the same location in Kilkee for a number of days.

Kilkee and Doolin Coastguard units will be conducting onshore and water searches this morning, and they're expected to be joined by the Shannon-based coastguard helicopter as well once the operation resumes from 7 o'clock.
