The medical charity MSF says 13 people have been killed in an air strike on one of its hospitals in northern Syria.

Four hospital staff and nine others - five children and two women - were killed in the strike in Idlib.

MSF says the hospital provided essential care for around 70,000 people in the region.

Two strikes hit the hospital directly at around 2pm local time on Saturday.

The bombing destroyed most of the hospital building, including the operating theatre, intensive care unit, paediatric department and ambulances.
