Irish nanny Aisling Brady McCarthy is being sued for wrongful death by the parents of the child she cared for.

The 37 year old Cavan native returned from Boston last year, after murder charges against her were dropped.

Ms Brady McCarthy had spent almost two and a half years in prison awaiting trial for the murder of Rehma Sabir.

The Sabir family have filed an action seeking damages for wrongful death by malicious, reckless or negligent conduct.
