Matt Damon and Alicia Vikander have won the top acting prizes at the Empire Awards.

The Revenant took the Best Film, while Best British movie went to Spectre.

There were several trophies for Star Wars - including one for director JJ Abrams, and stars Daisy Ridley and John Boyega who took Best Newcomers.

Alan Rickman - who died in January - won a posthumous award.
